    Accounts Payable Module
    Accounts Payable module is the primary source of your funds management. Its importance lies in the fact that it communicates with the widest range of information segments in your corporate system. In its simplest form it distributes its data to the General Ledger and controls liabilities with Purchasing reconciliation, feeds the Cash Book, interfaces with Project Costing and is a major contributor to the building of Asset information. It evens exerts its influence over the Budget Control Facility and the Organisation's Loan accounts.

    Accounts Receivable
    Accounts Receivable managed well, is the lifeblood of your organisation. All the other activities are dependent upon that single function. Management of receivable is therefore at the core of an organisation's prosperity and survival.

    Accounts Receivable system addresses the information needs of your Management and just as importantly, those of your Clients.

    It allows your organisation to control Debtors transactions in an orderly and economical fashion. It caters for most organisations, whether they have simple or complex structures. Consequently, transactions from various Accounts Receivable ledgers may be posted to nominated General Ledgers. Nominated Accounts Receivable ledgers may be consolidated to report group position.

    General Ledger
    General Ledger is a dynamic tool that allows you, its user to navigate through the myriad and diverse information stored throughout your system. Whether it is Receivable or Payable, Inventory or Project Management the General Ledger will act both as a microscope and panoramic window.

    At the outset, it provides for a flexible account structure to accommodate an open ended chart of accounts design supporting multiple companies, branches, funds, departments, programs and sub-accounts.

    Summary accounts can be definable at any level of your chart of accounts. The GL provide automatic balancing journals for inter-company transactions and an extensive set of user-defined queries and navigation to original transactions.

    Century's General Ledger allows you to define up to 59 periods per year. It allows current, previous and future periods to be posted to as well as providing account status definitions such as Open, Suspended, Closed and Delete Pending.

    An unlimited number of user-defined ledgers storing both financial and statistical data can be accommodated. They can be interrogated and viewed through any number of user-defined screens containing any mixture of current, past and future years. Moreover any amount of transaction history can be retained for inquiry and reporting.

    The system provides an extensive array of journal facilities including standing journals, automatic reversing journals and allocation journal for spreading department or cost centre allocations either by fixed proportions or by variable statistics.

    Multiple Budget and forecasts are accommodated and can be reported against. End of period and end of year procedures are exceedingly simple and can be closed in progressive steps.

    A user defined report writer is included allowing for set-up of Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss or other user defined reports with a simple and powerful reporting tree for analysis across department and divisions.

    A whole array of other facilities is offered, ranging from statistical accounts to account cloning and aliasing, account masking and Budgetary/funds control for organisations which manage expenditure in fixed budget environments.

    Budgetary Control
    The Budgetary Control system provides monitoring of General Ledger activity in a user defined consolidated manner. The Budgetary Control uses a user defined 26 character budget account code. Each budget account is assigned to monitor particular General Ledger accounts and at posting of General Ledger activity provides either over-budget warning or suspension of the posting activity. Convenient drill-down of posting activity is provided along with the ability to uplift General Ledger budget data directly into Budgetary Control.

    Cash Book - Bank reconciliation
    Bank reconciliation is time consuming and repetitive, yet it also needs to be performed with high regularity if a true financial picture is to be maintained. It is also a pivotal source of information for the accurate tracking of funds flow into and out of Banks.

    The Cash Book module simplifies the task. It also allows for the myriad of other ad-hoc tasks which are performed daily, form manual, non-accounts payable, urgent cheques, cash or fund receipts not associated with debtors.

    The Cash Book module caters for any number of bank accounts. Transactions from various Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable ledgers may be posted to any Cash Book Bank.

    A number of payment types are catered for by the Cash Book module. Payments processed by Accounts Payable are automatically transferred to Cash Book. Non Accounts Payable transactions as well as manual cheques can be processed within Cash Book, and payments can be made by cheque or bank direct debits system.

    Cash Book module automatically captures bank charges, periodic payments, interest and miscellaneous charges via user defined tables with automatic distribution to multiple accounts in General Ledger.

    Direct links to General Ledger through Century's trigger accounts automatically captures both Project Costing and Asset details.

    Account Receivable receipts are automatically transferred to Cash Book and miscellaneous receipts can be processed by a separate entry routine within Cash Book.

    Matching of payments and receipts is straightforward as is the matching of single deposit transactions to multi cash book deposit entries. A bank reconciliation is automatically produced.
